Macy moved through the world with a smile, and a joyful, happy-go-lucky attitude that spread to everyone she met. Our foundation aims to continue her legacy of positivity and kindness through acts of service and support for grieving families and our local community.
“Be kind, smile, and work hard.” These are the words people used to describe Macy. She was kind to all, smiled through everything, and was willing to tackle any problem head-on—even if she didn’t understand it—without complaining. This is the approach we take in our foundation; to spread Macy’s values and keep her memory alive through the work we do.
Foundation Goals
Dealing with the death of a child is a pain like no other, one that you can never be prepared for. While nothing can fully take away from the grief you’re feeling, we wanted to share a few resources to help those experiencing loss.
Grief Support
There’s so much about Macy that’s impossible to contain to a page on a website, so many little things that made her an amazing, loving kid.
Macy's Story
Ready to go from the moment she would wake up, Macy was always willing to try new things and loved everything she did. Whether it was dance, soccer, softball, or piano, she moved through the world with an infectious enthusiasm—when she joined the soccer team, one of the moms even commented “who’s that smiley kid running down the soccer field?”
Everything about Macy was cheerful and bright, from her favorite colors and love of animal prints to her ability to make instant friends with everyone she met.
In 2016, Macy passed away at age 9 from a ruptured Arteriovenous malformation (AVM). Every day, we keep her memory alive, whether that be through random acts of kindness to strangers or contributing to organizations that supported our family, and the families of others in similar situations, through the grieving process.
